Leyndarmál

Leyndarmál er glæný sýning eftir Ásrúnu Magnúsdóttur, unnin í samstarfi við stóran hóp unglinga. Hópurinn hefur fengið send yfir 1000 leyndarmál frá unglingum allstaðar að, sem nú verða opinberuð í gegnum frumsamda tónlist, leiki og texta. Komið undirbúin undir það að setja ykkur í spor unglinga í dag og sjá þessa stórkostlegu ungu flytjendur uppljóstra leyndarmálum, áhyggjum og draumum sem sjaldan heyrast upphátt.

Ásrún Magnúsdóttir er danshöfundur sem hefur vakið mikla athygli fyrir verk sín á undanförnum árum, innan lands sem utan, m.a. í verkum á borð við Teenage Songbook of Love and sex, Hlustunarpartý, GRRRRRLS og Ball. Ásrún leggur áherslu á það að teygja út hugmyndina um dans, kóregrafíu og sviðslistir. Hennar listræni metnaður felst í því að þróa verkefni í náinni samvinnu við fólk sem heyrist kannski ekki oft í.

Secrets

This epic new show, Secrets, is created by Icelandic artist Ásrún Magnúsdóttir in collaboration with an incredible collective of young people. Original music gives voice to the unspoken worries and private lives of teenagers – from soulful melodies to electric and rousing rhythms. Come prepared to put yourself in the shoes of today’s teens - as these extraordinary performers give voice to thousands of real-life concerns and the things that are rarely spoken about. 

About the artist
Ásrún Magnúsdóttir is a choreographer that aims to stretch the dominant modes of dance and choreography and has been received well at home and abroad, as made apparent by her numerous festival appearances, awards and nominations. She is interested in amplifying voices that she feels might be heard better; giving the stage to other people space to speak up, be seen and listened to. She has a great deal of experience working with different groups, especially young people and teenagers but also micro-communities like her own neighbours, residents of particular neighbourhoods or people that share an apartment building.
