Repertório N.2
Repertório N.2 er annar hluti tilraunar okkar til þess að hugsa dans eins og sjálfsvarnarlist. Með notkun óhefðbundinnar og óformlegrar tækni skissum við upp nýstárlegt neðanjarðarættartré fyrir sjálfsvarnarlistir. Með þessari kóreógrafíu skuldbindum við okkur til þess að hugsa gagnrýnið um heiminn sem við búum í og semja dans miðja vegu milli ímyndunarafls og innsæis, reyna að frelsa hugsunina frá verkfærum skilningsins.
Um listamennina
Við erum tveir danslistamenn sem fæddust í úthverfum Rio de Janeiro og komu saman árið 2018 til þess að þróa fyrsta sameiginlega verkefnið undir heitinu Repertório. Við sýndum verkið í fyrsta sinn sama ár en höfðum ekki hugmynd um hvenær það yrði sýnt aftur. Árið 2019 vorum við valdir til þátttöku í Verbo Show í Galeria Vermelho (SP) og síðan hefur okkur boðist að sýna verkið á nokkrum hátíðum og í galleríum. Árið 2022 hlutum við ImPulsTanz - Young Choreographers’ Award (Austurríki) og í ár hefst vinna við Reportório N.3 en við munum vinna það í Arsenic (Sviss), á ImPulsTanz Festival (Vín) og í Tanzhaus nrw. e.V. (Þýskalandi). Verkið verður svo frumsýnt á 35. São Paulo-tvíæringnum.
Sýningin er studd af Brasilíska Sendiráðinu.

Repertório N.2
Repertory N.2; is the second part of a choreographic experiment to think dance as a practice of self-defense. Using deviant and informal techniques, we bet on an alternative, underground genealogy of self-defensive practices. With these choreographies, we assume the commitment to think critically about the world we live in, performing the operation of choreographing between imagination and intuition, trying to free thought from the tools of understanding.
About the artists
We are two dance artists, born in the periphery of Rio de Janeiro and we got together in 2018 to develop our first project we call: Repertório. We presented it for the first time this same year, but we had no prediction of when we would present it again. In 2019, we were selected to participate in the Verbo Show at Galeria Vermelho (SP) and since then we have received several invitations to exhibit the project in festivals and galleries. In 2022, we received the ImPulsTanz - Young Choreographers’ Award, 2022 (Austria) and this year we will start developing Repertório N.3, we will be in residence at Arsenic (Switzerland), ImPulsTanz Festival (Vienna) and Tanzhaus nrw e.V. (Germany). And it will premiere this year at the 35th São Paulo Biennial.
