Dragon vs. Trolls

The „Dragons vs. Trolls” interactive installation was inspired by a children’s outdoor game and presents a fictional war between two distant countries (Poland and Iceland) that have never fought against one another throughout their real histories. It can be construed, however, as a real fight for territory and influence as well. The latter is true for Iceland in particular, as the country got virtually invaded by Polish migrants a few years ago (Poles now constitute the biggest ethnicity there) and the Poles have just learned that their beloved Prince Polo chocolate bar is now considered a national snack by the Icelanders. The installation also reflects on the role folk plays in community building.
